Division of Agricultural Entomology has its existence since the inception of College of Agriculture, Raichur during 1984. Nearly 2000 Undergraduate students have completed different entomology courses between 1984 and 2019. So far 50 B.Sc. (Agri.) graduates have secured ICAR-JRF Fellowships in Entomology including first rank. PG programme with M.Sc. (Agri.) and Ph.D. in Agril. Entomology was started in 1995-96 and 2011-12, respectively. Since then 208 students have successfully completed their degree programme and are well placed in the Administrative, Academic, Research & Development, Marketing & Management, Private and Service sectors of Government and Non-Government organizations in India and abroad. It is worth to mention that some of the UG and PG students are very good entrepreneurs creating job opportunities for many unemployed youth.
