Extension activities
- Contributing significantly in the management of cotton pink bollworm through large scale demonstration of mass trapping/ mating disruption technologies
- Conducted several skill trainings (45 days duration) to attract rural youths to agriculture
- Launched a special mobile based information dissemination technology called “Mobi-MOOC” to 4000 farmers in Paddy and Cotton.
- Faculty visited many farmers’ fields, attended many field days, seminars and guided them about the insect pests and their management.
- Conducted training programmes to Department of Agriculture/ Extension Officers/farmers on Integrated Pest Management, store grain pest management, sericulture and apiculture.
