SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION IN TEACHING, RESEARCH AND EXTENSION

TEACHING

Handled independent course on Advances in Integrated pest management with well-developed teaching aids.
Developed course outline and handled the experiential learning course to the UG students.

RESEARCH

Developed sixteen technology in cotton and developed integrated pest management strategies for irrigated for both Bt and non Bt
Large scale demonstrations are being taken on cotton IPM in TBP area.

Survey of key and emerging pests of cotton
Evaluation of PB Rope-L Pink bollworm on cotton.
Monitoring of pesticide residues in cereals, pulses, fruits, vegetables, soil and water collected from farmers field.
Evaluation of Cry proteins against field population of Helicoverpa armigera, Spodoptera litura and Pectinophora gossypiella from cotton growing regions of H-K region.
- Involved in e-SAP.
- Completed four ahoc projects as P.I and served as co. P.I for 8 adhoc projects on cotton.

EXTENSION

To educate the farmers about pest management tactics many popular articles have been published in local papers and four technical folders with color photographs of insect pests on red gram, chilli, Bt cotton and vermin technology were published and distributed to farmers in various krishimelas.
Involved in various training programmes conducted by KVK, Raichur, State Department and NGO’s on pest management of cotton.
Apart from that I have been actively participated in disseminating pest management tactics through phone calls and FM radio.
